THIS WORKSHOP is for people who already play some guitar but are aware that they aren't using the instrument to its full potential. It will teach essential skills, techniques, and concepts, using Christmas holiday music as a vehicle that can be applied to whatever music you like to play. This fun wokshop will take your playing to a new level. The four-week course will cover:

Understanding the fret board
Playing melodies
Playing by ear
Varied and inventive strumming patterns
Understanding, creating, and applying chord shapes
Interpreting chord symbols

This fun workshop will explain guitar techniques in a way that is both easy to understand and easy to apply. Each week we will focus on the melody, chords, rhythm, structure, and feel of a different holiday standard, including "Silent Night," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Jingle Bell Rock," and "Auld Lang Syne." By the end of the course you will have more comprehensive understanding of the guitar, some great new skills, and a new confidence in your playing.

Each session you will receive video practice tracks to play along with, video lessons of the information covered on Sunday, sheet music (chords/tablature), and informational handouts. All media will be shared with you through Dropbox.
